As team leader of week 5 the only assignment due was an individual assignment, how team members responded to my team leadership is quite well with all the feedback I have received. When I ask my team members for feedback they gave similar responses such as “good or excellent.” A feedback I received that really was interesting was from my team member Roger which is the following, “I think that you were an outstanding leader. You let everyone know what they had to do and you didn’t pester anyone. Social skills was one of the most useful skill as a team leader because I needed to communicate with each member and needed to figure out a way on how to communicate with someone who doesn’t use social media as much. Social skills overall helps because it helps your team members know that you are on top of everything and a great leader. The next skill was self-regulation because in order to be a good leader I need to have the ability to control my mood, if I don’t have self-regulation it wouldn’t make the team function well and the atmosphere will have negativity. Being team leader requires responsibility, self-regulation, self-awareness, and much more. I learned that being a leader isn’t only about telling people what to do and waiting for them to do it, a leader means helping team members who have a doubt, and making sure everybody understands what their task is. A team leader is basically the guide of the team and is somebody to keep everyone in the same track although it may be difficult at times. I will apply this takeaway to other teams of which I am a part in the future by being more organized, and by improving on my skills such as self-awareness, and self-regulation. This will help in the future because I will know how to control my emotions and moods without making it affect my team members. This is an important takeaway I have learned by being a leader for one
