I suggest that we implement a questions list into our team plan. The questions list would just be a list in google docs. Each member can submit any questions they have about the project information or directions. A questions list would make our team more effective because of relationship conflict, team inclusion, and individual strengths. First, a questions list would make our team more effective because of relationship conflict. Reducing relationship conflict can make our team feel more secure. According to a study conducted in the “Exploring the Effects of Value Diversity on Team Effectiveness” relationship conflict had the biggest overall effect in team cohesion (pg. 117). Team inclusion can make our team better work together. According to the “Skill Deficiencies in Diversity and Inclusion in Organizations: Developing an Inclusive Skills Measurement” article there are three measures to improve team inclusion: take every opportunity to ensure that project teams and work groups are diverse, encourage and capitalize on diverse contributions and strengths of team members, and practice inclusive behaviors in groups and intervene sensitively when exclusive behaviors occur. A questions list would reinforce that these measures are taking place by getting to know each other and working as a team to answer questions on the list. The article also states that team inclusion “requires us to know our own paradigms and to be inclusive of other people’s paradigms” (“Skill Deficiencies in Diversity and Inclusion in Organizations: Developing an Inclusive Skills Measurement”). A questions list would help us with this because in order to find answers as a team we need to uses each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
