Much like team failure, there are recipes for team success. In order for teams to be successful, they must have trust with one another, have a team identity, and team efficacy. Of these three, trust is the biggest and without it, it is hard to move into building an identity and team efficacy. Research shows that Trust is a fundamental characteristic of any work relationship and one of the most frequently studied constructs in organizational research today. Trust enables team members to work together more effectively and efficiently, and to allocate their energy and exchange resources in ways that contribute to team performance (De Jong, Dirks, & Gillespie, 2016). A lack of trust, by contrast, leads team members to lose sight of the goals
