Knowledge is a form of growth. Since the moment we take our first breath to the last breath we take, we do what we can to help ourselves grow as a person and as a unique individual. Most people strive to have more knowledge for their own benefits as well as the benefit of others. Learning can occur in many different ways and the experience is usually different for everyone. However, I still would like to explain to others the things I have learned in my life. Sharing the knowledge we have is our purpose in life; to live, learn, and to teach. In this platform, I will describe some of my beliefs about education as well as what my future classroom will look like.

In order to be a successful teacher, my role would be to communicate knowledge in a clear and structured way, to explain the correct solutions, to give students clear and resolvable problems, and to ensure concentration in the classroom. I would give students the chance to develop solutions to problems on their own because it is important for children to learn by themselves at times. I would also allow children to play active roles in instructional activities I plan. Letting students be more active and have hands on activities would keep the students interest and create an enjoyable learning environment. For example, on certain days of the week I could have a day were the students get an assignment and work on it by themselves for a certain amount of time. After the time is up, they would have a chance to get in groups and talk to their peers to try to work through the problems. Communication is key and I believe in order to learn the most we can, we need to know how to talk to our peers. To help the student’s communication skills I would have discussion times, aloud-reading activities and I would ask for their opinion on what they would like to do in class to help them learn

Education is such an essential and fundamental element in our lives. Throughout education, we acquire knowledge, learn what people before us have discovered or written and undoubtedly carve our own thinking the way we have been thought. In the article "Education", Ralph Waldo Emerson, a renowned lecturer and visionary thinker, expresses how education that is being adopted in our civilization does more harm than good for the students. He builds up this claim by first presenting a paradox connecting "Genius and Drill", in which one cannot function without the other.…

With ever-increasing learning demands, and limited time and resources, I quickly learned that inevitably some children fail to perform adequately among their peers. This reality came quite clear to me through my experience working and substitute teaching in a public elementary school.…
