Students who are on the spectrum of Autism under IDEA and other government programs qualify for free public education. Students with autism under IDEA are to be taught in a regular classroom as if they did not have the disability. Some students depending on how severe their autism is are in classrooms meant for students with disabilities. The ones who are included in regular classrooms are given extra help to make sure they succeed in school.
These accommodation made for the students are usually individualized because not all students are the same and they learn differently. A few are, Applied Behavioral Analysis, Discrete Trial teaching, Picture Exchange Communication system and Verbal Behavior. I think these ones are especially important,

The instructions and activities the teacher creates should be mostly visual and kinesthetic. When teaching directly teach the routines and structures of the classroom.” Provide an outline of what is to be learnt and focus on key concepts”.
When possible the teachers should break the work into small achievable steps. During class if possible using other adults and students to help the student can be useful. The child might look up to some of their classmates and enjoy the task they are learning even more. Make it so the student has to talk, by creating sabotage. Sabotaging can be as simple as a missing word, a funny sounding word and even the wrong word.
In my future classroom if I have a student with a speech learning disability. I think the peer work will be very useful. In class we watched a video and the little girl was unable to form words and she used some sort of assertive tool to communicate with the class and answer questions. Accommodations that should be made are instructions are short and to the point. For younger students they should also be written down on the board. When teaching information should be presented visually as well in either PowerPoint slides, smart board and or chalk board. When repeating information use the same words over and over and no paraphrasing. If a student in the classroom is asking a question or making a statement the teacher needs to state who is talking so the hearing impaired child knows who to focus
