Philosophy The specific course that I would like to teach in the future is a Bible course. The title will be How to Increase one’s Faith when praying about a situation in life. This can be done by searching out the Bible scriptures to find out what is there. As the learner is searching the scripture, knowledge will be gained on who God is. Once the scriptures needed for faith are found, the students will learn how to study the scriptures and put them in their heart to use in prayer. The course will provide details of this Biblical discipline to increase one’s faith so that they will effectively know how to pray about any given situation at hand. As a subject-matter expert on the subject, I will ensure the learner with effective use of tactics to grasp their attention and interest of the subject. Then, once I design the lesson plan for each lesson, I will be able to capture the learner’s interest to enhance learning. Therefore, the delivery method that I choose to use will provide a variety of learning style preferences needed for each individual. Learning begins once birth is given and last throughout a person’s lifespan. Therefore, once an individual has an interest to learn a subject, it is okay to gain further education on that subject. It can be done simply as reading a book or when deciding to go back to a higher learning institution. Either way, learning never ends until the death of an individual life-span. One does not have to necessarily go back to school to learn because learning happens all the time in an individual life. If one wants to become more advanced with more knowledge of the subject, then the choice of going back to school will be the best choice that one can make in life to better themselves at what they desire to learn. What is teaching will be discussed next.
Teaching on the other hand can be seen in the “way one influences another to learn but at the same time connects their experiences with it or recognize a need to learn more” Knowles, Holton, & Swanson (2012). Therefore, the individual will become self-directed as they recognize their readiness to learn, and whatever situation led them to learn it. Also, I believe that there is a need to know and learn about a topic of interest because anyone that desires to further their learning capacity about any subject has that right to learn it.
