I am writing to apply for the teaching assistant post currently available at your English center and I would feel deeply honoured to be considered for the position. I am a hardworking, driven individual who would be extremely pleased to become a member of your staff. I used to be a student of ABIT so that I knew how amazing it is to work and study here, to work within a part of this on a daily basis would be exceptionally fulfilling.
If you were to hire me, you would not only be hiring a capable individual, but a passionate one as well. For as long as I can remember, teaching has been my dream; so that during my high school years I attained a leadership position in my class to gain experience. I have been interested in the Resident Advisor Position since I was in High School. My sister is an RA at Boston College, and she frequently raved about how much she enjoyed the position. Since she and I are extremely close, I often helped her create her door decorations, plan events, and listened to many stories about her experience. I came to Hamilton knowing that I wanted to be an RA, and I cannot imagine my time at Hamilton without having that experience. The main aspect of the RA position that I find extremely attractive (besides the fact that I get to make door decorations!), is that this job allows creativity and social interaction to intertwine in a very unique way.…

My gut sank to an unbearable low as I watched my thirty-two-year-old mother require support to limp just five steps to the restroom; cancer stripped her of life. At twelve-years-old, I felt distraught in my inability to save her and return the endless love that my Haitian parents poured into my nurturing. However, the hope the physicians brought us has inspired me to become a doctor so that I, too, can serve as an envoy of hope to sufferers of illness. My father is a physician I strive to be like. Being a first generation college student, I did not know that I could have a career conducting research or that I could have a profession that inspired me in the way that conducting research has thus far. I would like to pursue graduate education because despite my collection of research experiences and my education in statistics and research methods, I know that there is a realm of skills that I do not currently possess that are necessary to conduct higher level research. Study at a university like the University of Tennessee will not only provide me the quality education needed to conduct research but it will connect me to individuals who will help to open avenues previously closed to me. I have always wanted to do something that would change the world and I understand that is a lofty goal, but if I could use my talents and passions to help just a few people, then I would feel accomplished.…
