This cute little dog had a stroke and died on July 21, 2009. One thing that can help us to remember Gidget is the famous phrase "Yo quiero Taco Bell." Even if we do not like Taco Bell, we all remember the cute chihuahua dogs in those commercials. Many people have chihuahua dogs. My grandma did not have one, she had two. Their names were Pinto and Canela. So when I see pictures of Gidget, I remember the Taco Bell commercials, but I also remember Pinto and Canela. They will always used to bark really loud. They were experts at that. This was how they will get people's attention. Another thing they will do was, walked inside the house as soon as someone will open the back door. They used to hide and we will have to look for them. It was fun. My grandmother died before her chihuahua dog Canela. Pinto died years before her . My brother then took care of Canela. He loves dogs and somebody had to take care of her because she was grandma's dog. Couple of months after my grandmother's death, Canela died too. I was sad and my brother cried. We loved grandma's dog. The only thing left for me to say is "Rest in Peace Gidget. Rest in peace just like Canela and

This quote sums up this book perfectly. There are probably hundreds if not thousands of books that discuss how humans can teach dogs things whether it be how to house train them to how to help it learn new tricks. This book on the other hand takes a unique approach of figuring out what our canine companions can teach us. Now I will be honest I am not necessarily a dog lover, but perhaps Van Gouh was correct when he said, “ If you don’t have a dog—at least one—there is not necessarily anything wrong with you, but there may be something wrong with your life.” The author does a great job finding and sharing advice learned from observing dogs.…

It was hard to remember the dog Seeley had been before she became ill. A happy girl with curly, silver hair that relished each morning and delighted in each night. We knew she had been through quite a lot in her life, telling from the moon-like cataract clouding her left eye and the swollen nipples that hung lowly from her stomach. She enjoyed cuddling and seldom barked, but did often make weird scoffing noises when she was excited. She was our baby.…

I remember my first love like it was yesterday, which is not a surprise considering the fact that she was such a big part of my life. Just about every Sunday, I went to my grandmother's house for family dinners, and there I was consistently given the opportunity to see my best friend, Smokey Bean. Bean was a large (but skinny), beautiful female labrador with black fur. If I was lucky, I would be able to get to see her more than once a week, for instance, during school vacations when I could sleepover at my grandma’s house. Overall, seeing Bean became a part of the routine.…
