Before class started, Mrs. Giddens stood in front of everyone and went over previous homework or future work that would be done in the classroom. If a student did not understand, she would explain the work in a better understanding that fits his/her individual needs. Giddens was constantly teaching the students new and interesting information. To keep their attention in focus, she started off with class work then throughout the class she went over the information, and sometimes she added a game or class participation to help wake the children up and let them know career tech is fun.
A career tech lesson plan was not based on just American views. It was done worldly and shown how all types of cultures matter in the career tech world. The classroom was filled with diverse cultures. As a teacher, she encouraged them to speak about their cultural background for cooking and living. She used the different life styles to form a lesson. It helped her learn that to have a successful and happy classroom, you have to take into consideration the culture for each student.
In conclusion, I believe Mrs. Giddens is very professional when it comes to teaching disability children and diverse children. She never lets them feel that they are beneath anyone or anything. She is very helping and understanding when it comes to anything. She has taught me to always listen to the students before making any accusations. She never lets a student leave unhappy, because she wants them to enjoy her class and learn day-to-day life instances. She makes teaching fun, and I am sure everyone enjoys her as a
