The 2 domains in the Teacher Model Standards I believe are important are Domain IV: Facilitating Improvements in Instruction and Student Learning And Domain VI: Outreach and Collaboration with Families and community.
I believe Domain IV: is important after participating in a few Focus walks in my school district. In the math department, select teachers were chosen to participate in focus walks in other schools. After, observing teachers teach the same lesson in different styles helped me improve my style of teaching. It helped me observe teachers who are also struggling and coming up with ways of teaching students who are academically challenges. I was able to view their bulletin boards, warm-ups, launch, class procedures, explore, homework, summary, ideals, and teaching styles.I was able to see how they help their struggling students. The focus walks are an excellent way to improve teaching and learning and students' learning. I believe Domain VI: is important because Collaboration with families and community is essential. Family engagement in schools helps improves student academics reduces sentences., and especially, better behavior.

I was responsible for giving students who were on the borderline of being placed into an honors group extra math help. The enrichment program met two times a week for a year. The program was met with such success. Ninety-five percent of the students met the honors requirement and were able to move to an honors group. I had plenty of help from my peers and administration. Plenty of teachers volunteer for the enrichment program. The only change would have two groups of 25 to 30 students three times a week.( If I had not held a leadership role, I would have given my colleagues the support to make their leadership role
