Bold, athletic, and outgoing are a few words to describe a girl I happen to know very well. That girl is me, Taylor Foster. I am a junior attending Alpena High School; a few things I enjoy in my spare time are playing my guitar, running, and playing basketball. Sports take a huge part of my day to day schedule, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. My true passion is running hurdles in track and field, and I love it so much my plan is to run throughout college as well. As for academics, my favorite subject happens to be English. There’s something about expressing my feelings through writing that brings me a tranquil feeling and relieves my worries. In my 3 years at high school so far my easiest assignments have always been written; it just comes natural to me. Words can be as sharp as a knife, or as dull as a feather and I live for them. When I write I feel powerful; I feel unstoppable and indestructible. I am simply happy while writing. Although I control what I write, read, and accomplish, my teacher also plays a huge role in my

I have always considered my relationship with writing to be very insignificant. Although I enjoy spending time verbally expressing my thoughts and feelings to others, it becomes difficult when these thoughts and feelings are expressed through writing. Throughout my adolescent years, I would often receive feedback for my writing given by the teacher in the form of a grade. Being unable to effectively organize my thoughts and ideas into words and sentences, I would feel reluctant to continue writing confidently whenever I received an undesirable grade.…

Writing helps translate exactly how I feel into words so that when others read my writing, they get a solid idea of how I feel and/or what my intentions are. Overall, writing is one of the best ways of communication when compared to just talking to someone. But, there 's also a downside to writing a letter to someone compared to speaking to them, because, when you speak to someone, you show emotion through facial expressions and gestures; a paper cannot show emotion very well, which is why text messages can be easily…
