Taylor Dane Myers, 22, is making his dreams of producing music a reality out of a full-scale production studio in his house. Myers was valedictorian in high school, but after a few semesters at the University of Central Florida, he realized being a full-time student wasn’t for him.

Myers who was receiving a combination of Florida Prepaid, Florida Bright Futures and a Pegasus scholarship took some of that money, along with knowledge he gained from “YouTube University,” Google and Basement Studios to form Wholehearted Productions.

I had offers to record at other studios, but I didn’t feel comfortable there. Here it is just so easy. They helped me feel good about my music for the first time, and that’s when I knew I wanted to make my music here,” Marie said.

Myers said Wholehearted Productions got by on luck for the first year and a half, but the business is finally going strong.

“For the first year and a half or so we just kind of lucked out continually with getting projects just in time. Randomly people would come in and book a whole day, and we were like, well, that’s our rent or whatever. But now we meet our monthly expenses and we are in the green,” Myers said.

Wholehearted Productions name stems from the passion and dedication Myers and Sierra put into their work.

“We have a raw passion for music--the excitement and the curiosity and being wholehearted everyday,” Sierra said.

Wholehearted Productions strives to work on music of which they can be wholehearted fans. When Myers and Sierra started the business they told themselves that if they stay true to that, they we will be successful.

“The secret to getting a production studio in a house--find laid-back, desperate, landlord on Craigslist,” Myers

They are just a fraction of who my friend is, but that does not make them any less than my real friend.…

Phokus Films is a bit of a narrative. While at the NBC TV group my job was to 'figure out the internet' (as my boss put it). It needed to be more than just banner ads, so I built a talented team of marketers, content producers, etc that was spun off into a digital startup. Like many in that industry, our parent company had financial trouble and divested from the digital startup.…

He was deprived of many opportunities and forced to accept communist beliefs. He is, by far, the most passionate man I know.…
