Well, it's not always that you will find a machine with rings that are already tuned up; sometimes you will have to do it yourself. There are so many variables on how it will run, but understanding the theory of setting it up together will help you run the machine using the right stroke length and right needle group to produce the artistic effect you desire. If you are a newbie in this business, or just looking to maintain your machine, here's a guide how to tune your tattoo machine.
