There is a broad understanding of social change which can start with one individual. As scholar practitioners, Walden students are charged with contributing social change to enhance society. As we go through our different degree programs social change is the one common basic denominator all students have in common. The tenants for social change according to Walden’s Task Force are knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The Task Force uses a matrix to map out the features that are parts of social change. These features are: scholarship, systematic thinking, reflection, practice, collaboration, advocacy, civic engagement, and human ethics.
