2.1. Professional
Professional is person who is paid to study / train a specialize field and complete them for free. There are several traditional professionals such as lawyers, doctors, engineers, architects, etc.
The following criteria are available with professionals.
• The specialized knowledge and experience in particular field.
• Good practical and theoretical skills in that profession.
• Having high quality of work.
• Can expect the high quality of professional ethics, behavior and work activities while carry out the profession.
• Reasonable work morale and motivation.
• Appropriate treatment of relationship with colleagues.

Characteristic of professionalism
The true professionals have number of characteristics such as.
• Appearance – Professional person should be neat in appearance. Every company has the own dress code and dress code is very impotent while meeting with client or higher management. This is one of the main ways to identify the professionalism.
• Demeanor / Behavior – be polite and use appropriate language while approaching with customers, superiors and co-workers and keep calm while tense situation to express the professional

Continuous Professional Development
5.5.1. What is CPD?
Continuous Professional Development is an activity engaged by the professional team or institution which they continue to develop the professional in relevant field. This helps to get the new knowledge and maintain and enhance the existing competencies. Technologies are introducing day by day life in current modern construction industry; hence the CPD is very useful program to gain the knowledge. This can be presented in several ways such as; lecture, open learning, private study, work experience, etc.
5.5.2. Who is CPD for?
Most of the professional institutions encourage the CPD because of institutions need to maintain the reputation, standards and as well as to help the members. Most of the professional institutions prescribed in the code of conduct, that certain number of hours CPD record need to be proofed to renew the membership. The clients want to employ staff with well skilled person to manage and complete the project within client’s expectations.
5.5.3. Why is CPD needed?
