There was a young woman who was raped but men she did not know. After she was raped within a week she sold her apartment, quite her job and moved in to her parents house. She was so terrified she never wants to leave her house or ever be alone. She came back to the emergency department and she was so frightened by her rapist she threw logic out the door. After being raped a victim has to pick up their pieces and try to put them all back together. A victim has to heal mentally and physically. When a person sees a victims injury’s they see maybe the blood, cuts, bruises, and violent wounds. What an outsider can not see is there PTSD. How they look over shoulder everywhere they go, the terrified feeling when they relive what happened every time the close there eyes. The constent fear of it happening again or ever letting someone to close to see how truly broken they are: how they still aren’t fixed. They never will trust the same, never live the same, never be the same. In conclusion rape can happen to any one. It will affect each victim differently. If a person gets raped it will change them forever. There will be immediate effect and long-term effects but one thing is for certain no one can go threw rape and it not changes them forever. There might be wounds people can see but the worst wounds are with in. Being rape takes away a person freedom, control, and safety. Those are the hardest wounds to heel. Rape will forever
