Target's Shopping Habits

The shopping habits of today’s shopper have changed due to technology and lifestyle changes of people today. With many shoppers utilizing online shopping outlets and making company’s like Amazon a top retailer, other major retailers like Target are looking for ways to create balance shopping habits between those who are in-store shoppers and those who are on-line shoppers through cross-channel shopping. In a survey conducted by Cisco Systems on ways to attract cross-channeling shoppers, they found that customers wants something that gives them that “mash-up” experience that allows technology-based experience in the store. What shoppers want is the ability to have things the way they want them rather they are online, in-store, or utilize technology. For that reason the subscription box services that are proposed to Target will look to allow expansion in the company’s profit, customer base and branding. Subscription boxes have become the new way of getting products and services to shoppers without having to physically do the shopping themselves. With the inclusion of monthly subscription box services into the Target Corporation demographic, the corporation is not only promoting and applying the idea of a cross-channel shopping, it is expanding it’s ability to reach more customers. Subscription boxes and their place in the market has only continued to expand and become more popular and this report will distinguish the reason for utilizing this opportunity to develop boxes that are exclusive to Target, uses Target brands and markets other Target
