Target is a fairly large store. Some people may call it a department store, some a discount store, and others might even classify Target as a grocery store. There are 2 Target stores around where I live that I frequently shop at, which are Lowell and Nashua. The one in Lowell is a stand-alone, but right next to it is a plaza that you can easily walk to. It is one floor. The Target in Nashua is part of the Pheasant Lane Mall and has two floors. Both of these stores sell the same items, clothes, toys, fitness and sports goods, household items, and groceries. The Target in Nashua, being two floors as a unique escalator. There is a special lane for people’s carts. This feature makes it easier when shopping for multiple items on both floors because people can bring their cart up and down the escalator and stand right next to it. This eliminates shoving shopping carts into Target’s elevators, which in turn leaves more room on the elevators for strollers and wheelchairs. A couple strategic moves I noticed with Target is where they place essential items. Seasonal items are always in the back corner of the store, so someone who thinks they are just running in for a new lawn decoration or beach toys for their children, actually will most likely end up buying way more than …show more content…
Most Targets will either have a Starbucks, Pizza Hut, or both. The Target in Lowell has both and the Target in Nashua has a Pizza Hut, but has some Starbucks glassed coffees in the Pizza Hut refrigerator. Now customers that shop at Target will not feel rushed to hurry up and finish shopping so they can get lunch or they will not feel annoyed that they have to stop for coffee on their way to Target. Customers of Target can enjoy a fresh coffee when they get to Target and sit down and enjoy pizza after they have finished shopping. This is a convenience that not all stores have. One time I even stopped in just for a coffee because it was on the way to my
