Because I am determined to become a nurse, I am willing to become a more social person; but if I were not willing to become more social, Focus 2 claimed that I would excel quite well in many different types of jobs.…

At the beginning of the semester I was somewhat intimated by the amount of course work that was expected of each student in this class. However, as time went on and I started to complete the assignments, it became clear how useful many of them were, particularly the resume and the career exploration paper. Both of these assignments were beneficial in their own way, despite the time and effort that went in to completing them according to the instructions. The resume and subsequent critiques from multiple sources yielded a professional document that is flawless and ready to be disseminated to potential employers after a minor customization to it based upon the job description and requirements. The career exploration assignment has taught me how…

In a “Life Course” class, one may be surprised death is brought up so early. The ironic thing about the life course is that living with a “good” death in mind usually reflects a good life. My desired career path is to start as an associate within the health-care industry group at an investment bank, such as Piper Jaffray & Co. or Morgan Stanley. Then, I intend to transition to an investment fund that invests in growing innovative health-care technology companies. In addition, these projects have exposed me to some of the emerging health-care technologies that have been created to overcome these challenges. My first project involved developing financial forecast scenarios…
