Tanks of WW2 My topic is on the tanks of World War II. Many types of tanks where used to do many different things like the anti-tank tank used a heavy gun and was super slow. There are 7 Nations i will talk about, we have The United States ,Britain ,The Soviet Union ,Japan ,Nazi Germany ,Italian ,and then France. There were multiple things used to help out tanks and destroy them like Anti tank rifles and anti tank guns. The different types of tanks used in WW2 are: AA tanks for anti-air to shoot down enemy aircraft.Anti-tank to destroy tanks or structures like bunkers or AT or AA guns.Light tanks which are low in armor high in speed and medium in damage.Medium tanks which are medium in armor medium in speed and medium in damage.Heavy tanks which are High in armor, medium in speed and high in damage.They affected heavily in the war like light tanks used for scouting and medium is for fighting normal things and heavy for fighting tanks …show more content…
During D-Day many types of tanks where used like the M4 Sherman the M4 sherman flamethrower churchill tanks and much more to fight off the germans. The Anti air tank was used to fight of the fighter dive bomber planes like the ju-87 and the yak-4. What are tank Crews that ran the tanks: Crews were the tanks controllers there are around 5 different positions MG gunner, Cannon Gunner, the loader ,the commander ,and the driver. MG gunners mans the MG to take out easy targets like normal troops.Cannon gunners man the main cannon to fire at its target. The loader loads the cannon so the main gunner can fire it.The commander is the Leader of the tank and directs the driver and also uses the mg on the top of the tank sometimes.The driver well drives the tank commanded by the commander.
They better the crew the better the tank was in
