The Taming of the Shrew is a classical play written by William Shakespeare and known by many people. It has been passed down generations and made into movies. For this assignment, I watched the 1967 version of The Taming of the Shrew and a play version put on by the UAA Theater and Dance crew. In my opinion, I liked the play better. The film seems to cut out parts of the play and shorten parts of the play. The film also changes the dialogue slightly and changes the framework. Although the two productions were very similar, I seemed to like the play version better because of the amusing way it was performed and it seemed to follow the script more than the movie.
