The day of the operation came and Tally didn’t know what to feel. Tally just wanted the surgery over with even though it is pain free she wasn’t too sure about it. The hospital car finally showed up she was asked a couple questions then put into the car. Tally was put in a waiting room at the hospital where she could only think about what Shay told her about not becoming a pretty. She counted the ceiling tiles as she waited, then a middle aged man came to the room. 9- “Sixteen years, Finally.” (Westerfeld 97). The man told her there had been some issues with her operation. In the hospital all Tally saw was pretties, she had never seen anything like it before. Tally was extremely nervous because she didn’t know what the meeting with Dr. Cable
