Founded on 10th February 1949, Tallahassee Little Theatre (TLT) officially changed its name to Theatre Tallahassee on 24th August 2013. It is a non-profit organization located in the heart of Tallahassee and it is the only community theatre in Tallahassee operating a permanent performance facility. Its first plays were rehearsed in an airport hangar and presented in a military movie hall at Dale Mabry Field. In 1992 it was renovated and apart from Mainstage it was added with the Coffeehouse, scene shop. During the season 2014/2015, twelve plays were performed, the most important being A Few Good Men, The Addams Family, White Christmas, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Evita, Murder on the Nile that received awards for the most enjoyed play,
