Given that some areas in Florida serve as conduits for the drug traffic industry into the United States, it's not surprising to find out the state ranks #11 in the nation for deaths related to drug overdoses (see data from Trust for America's Health - 2013) with 16.4 deaths for every 100,000 residents.
