In America we have a problem of trying to fit everyone and everything into a one size fits all box. From gun laws and sexuality, to something as simple as a dress code. This problem is very significant to me because it is something I have dealt with my entire life. I have always been different. I have never encountered a situation where I have felt like I fit in, but I’m okay with that. I’ve learned how to be the confident 6’2 girl walking down the halls of my high school, ignoring the negative comments and taking them as compliments. In my personal situation, the problem occurs when administrators try to treat students as clones: for example, dress code. All my life I have experienced issues with the dress code, it’s not easy to find pants with a 37-inch inseam, or let alone shorts that go down to my fingertips. I did not wear one pair of shorts until my sophomore year of high school. While this may seem normal
