For example loyalty, support, and care are all expected out of two people who are just “talking.” One that is “talking” to another person cannot cheat or go out with another person. Although technically this person is single and can do whatever they want they should not. They have shown strong feelings for someone and are tied to that person. Therefore, they are considered off the market. In various situations, people that are “talking” do not have as great of an attachment as people in a relationship. Therefore, people are more willing to be “talking” because it keeps them from getting hurt. I have seen this happen to my friend who was in long, serious relationship that ended badly. She was so devastated after the break up, because she was so attached to her boyfriend.
