Taliban Research Paper

The word Taliban means “student.” Taliban became known as student because many of the members were students from the religious seminaries. The Soviet Union was the cause of the Taliban. The S.U was attacking many counties and they started the attack Afghanistan to get help with wars and to have a place to stay. A group of men did not like what they were doing so they wanted to gather more people and attack. After they got enough people they started to attack and chase them out (Mehra, 2014). The Taliban is a group of Muslim militants that live near the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Mullah Mohammed Omar is one of the people, who created the Taliban in 1994 (Pointon, 2007). There is not much known about Omar, except that he is not seen in public very often. Omar is not from Afghanistan he is from Kandahar. He came from a family that has no political beliefs. Omar got his beliefs from experience. The U.S. have only one picture that is guaranteed to be Omar (Jones, 2013).
