In the professional football atmosphere, how do the tailgaters from the home team socialize with the visiting team tailgaters? Past research has shown that the tailgaters treat everybody as if they were family no matter if the tailgaters happen to be for the visiting team or the home team. On the other hand is there a hierarchy, my tailgate party outshines your tailgate party attitude or my team is better than your team, involved? Using an ethnographic research method to observe and survey tailgaters at the November 1, 2015, Houston Texans game in the yellow parking lot.
