Motionless, silent, I floated amongst the algae and the cool calm water embraced me.
(Opening Adjective) Before the tale of the frog king begins, a little history lesson is in order.
Around ten years ago, my family owned a sixteen-acre property in Grand Haven. The land consisted of two large ponds, both filled with countless fish, turtles, and other fascinating organisms. On the adjacent side of the farthest back pond, a tall tree house stood looming over the land. A kind of watchtower of the land. Dense forest surrounded the clearing from all sides creating a barrier. I can distinctly remember the sweet aroma of nature wafting through the air.

Its wet skin licked the palms of my hand. I adjusted my grip, making sure not to let it go. Finally satisfied with it not being able to escape I screamed, "Mom and Dad,
I caught the frog!"
My parents stumbled out of their lawn chairs and sallied over. Sure enough, there was me grinning with it. My parents were quite amused and grabbed the camera. They smiled, delicately, like weary children remembering a party. (Delayed Adverb) Snap! The sound of the shutter clicked, and a memory was made.
Minutes passed and I finally let my new friend go, quickly saying my goodbyes. But right before I loosened my grip, I stared into its small pebble eyes and said, "I am the frog king."
The night continued on with laughs and food. Hours later, I sat near the fire pit. The warmth of the flame comforted me like my grandmother. I turned out to see the tree line, aware of the eerie silence descending, onto the woods. (Delayed Adjective) Ultimately darkness blanketed the earth. My family and I packed up the old maroon Ford Windstar and drove off. I faded away in the back seat, to the sweet humming of my Mother's voice. The day may have been over, but the memory of the frog lasts forever. Dog's land was my sanctuary, a place of adventures, a place of absolute
