One of the first novels ever written was call The Tale of Genji.
Written a thousand years ago, it was finished in 1021. It tells the life story of a prince named Genji. The novel begin with his birth and continues past his death. The Tale of Genji have moving movements of human emotion. Its sensitive descriptions of nature and beautiful prose is still popular and admired today, and the novel have endure over time.
Many believe a woman nicknamed Murasaki Shikibu wrote The Tale of Genji. No one know her real name. Murasaki refer to the name of a purple flower or the name of the novel’s main character.
