Since I started at Indiana University Kokomo I have taken summer courses every summer semester. I have learned firsthand that the benefits of taking summer courses are twofold. First, taking summer courses help me graduate faster than if I just went the traditional fall and spring route it would take me even longer to graduate. Next, being a psychology major there are a series of special topics courses that are only offered in the summer here. These special topics courses are always very fun and interesting courses to take. Finally, one of my favorite benefits to taking summer courses at IUK is that, in the summer there are less people here and this is a very tranquil place to study and read in the summer.
