In the world that we live in today, everything around us is ever-changing. These changes happen so often that we often hear others use the terms “live everyday like it is your last”, “you only live once”, or even “you do not know what day will be your last, so do everything while you can now”. Taking chances in life is always the more intriguing track and more often than not the track that is taken, taking chances can lead to greater events, memories, or even greater ideas, although taking chances is done in steps not all at once, and however, there is always a safe side that is present in most events that occur in life.

Memories that may arise from taking chances will stick with an individual for the rest of their life. I had an opportunity to try out for a team and go overseas to play softball for the USA Cup Team at the International Cup in the Netherlands. My father and I discussed over and over whether or not I should try out because if in the case I did not make it he did not want me to give up my softball career. However, contrary to what he had warned me about and against his judgement I made the decision to sign up for the try out. This tryout had about 100 girls all from separate age groups all trying out for two teams. In my head I thought when I walked in “oh geeze what are the odds that I make this team, slim to none those are my odds”, but despite the little doubt I felt I went on though the tryout trying my hardest. Once everything was done and over with main coaches started to rattle off names, well needless to say mine was called.
