Taking assessment tests allows insight to strengths and weaknesses relative to our personality. Below I address several sections regarding my personal self, how I work with others, and finally, life in organizations. Understanding how to control strengths, and realizing our weaknesses are not a negative, they are an opportunity to grow in God 's love to glorify His kingdom.
What about Me?
Personality Insight
The Jungian personality test explained the positive attributes of my ESTJ personality such as being assertive, dependable, persistent and responsible. However, the high scores in extraversion affirms an unbalance in my personality. As stated clearly in Type Talk at Work (2002), an extravert need to "Listen more, talk less." (Kroeger, Thuseen, & Rutledge, 2002, p.118)
Values and Attitude Insights
After reviewing the list of terminal values, it became abundantly clear that I am not honest with myself. Terminal values are defined as "desirable end-states of existence; the goals a person would like to achieve during his or her lifetime." (Robbins & Judge, 2009, p.117) Although there is no right or wrong answer, I felt somewhat shallow after making my decision, and therefore, will be praying for guidance in the matter.
