There have been a few famous story about these children, such as Genie and Peter to name two. Genie had been abused most of her adolescent while being tied to a chair. As said by the article, “On November 4, 1970 a girl was discovered. She had been locked in a room alone for over ten years. She was tied to a potty chair and left to sit alone day after day” (The story of Genie, 2013). Besides this abuse she had signs of physical abuse from her father. Genie had formed almost like her own language which consisted of making noises with her mouth. Peter is a whole another story from hundreds of years before in 1700s. As stated by Moorhouse, “In the summer of 1725 a peculiar youth was found in the forest of Hertswold near Hameln in northern Germany. Aged about 12, he walked on all fours and fed on grass and leaves” (2010). Which refers back to as stated early, these children would naturally develop animal instincts. As examined “…He repelled his host with his complete lack of manners. He refused bread, but gorged himself on vegetables, fruit and rare meat…” (Moorhouse, 2010). These two children though hundreds of years apart both lived off these instincts. Survival being the only thing to occupy these children’s minds. In present time most feral children are the result of child abuse or child neglect. Likewise, if the child was raised with dogs, out of instinct it would be natural for the dogs to protect the child. The child may then learn to walk like a dog, bark, and have dog tenacities. These feral children are interesting aspect of the world, and also a big mystery. This goes for any animal the child may be raised with. If the child lived in the forest it could have been raised with any animal, or have many traits of a bunch of different animals.
