The Indiana Academy would be an appropriate educational opportunity for me for two main reasons. First and most importantly the academic opportunities available at the Academy are astounding and I feel they would suit me well. Currently I am taking three AP classes at my high school and my favorite class I am taking this year is AP Physics, however there is no AP Physics C or AP Physics 2 at my school. Furthermore there are not very many AP or difficult classes at all at my high school. This is majorly frustrating as it hinders my education in comparison to other students in the country who have access to advanced classes. The story is completely different at the Academy, there are so many more AP and intriguing classes in general such as AP Computer Science which is a class that if I am accepted into the Academy I would love to take as one of the majors I would like to study in college is Computer Science. The second major I would like to study in college would be Physics in particular quantum mechanics. This being said my current high school offers little in the way of reaching these majors especially at the prestigious universities that I wish to attend. The second reason the Indiana Academy would be a proper educational opportunity for me is that it would help prepare me sufficiently for college life. I intend to attend a rigorous college after school with my top three choices being in no particular order MIT, Stanford, and Carnegie Mellon. This being said the Academy would be advantageous in prepping me for the intense college experience I wish to partake in. It would be advantageous in two major facets. First the course work at the Academy is scrupulous and this would help me prepare for the challenge of such a tremendous magnitude college experience as aforementioned. Secondly living with a roommate would be extremely beneficial as sometimes, as I often find is the case for myself, interactions with peers can be just as challenging if not, more
