Organizational behavior is defined by business dictionary as actions and attitudes of individuals and groups towards one another and towards the organization as a whole, and its effect on the organization’s functioning and performance (Business Dictionary, 2017). For an organization to properly maintain operations at an effective level throughout their life span, it is essential for the organization to establish an organizational behavior that is beneficial and productive for everyone involved within the functions of the group. In order for any corporation to effectively partake in international business, it is wise to hire employees who are either from the given culture or hire people who are familiar with the cultural setting for which the business will unfold. This is done in order to avoid the risk of potentially insulting or offending someone who follows the practices of an unfamiliar culture. The Takata Corporation has found themselves in a situation that could have possibly been avoided by implicating more diversity. With such a lack of diversity on its bored, it’s easier to fall prey to groupthink when you’re part of a uniform group (Bloomburg, 2017). By appointing a more diverse group of bored members, the company would have not made the uniformed mistake of not seeking the council of outside third parties. For example, perhaps someone from Denmark -- a nation that is, on the whole, more tolerant of ambiguity -- might have been more willing to accept the uncertain outcomes that could result from “risky communication” (Bloomburg, 2017).
