It was initiated in 1990 by sheikh Saud Bin Saqr and engineer Abdulla Massaad.It is a source of creative and a key contributor to the upgrading of the ceramic industry standards to levels beyond the framework of a unique competition both in terms of design and production capacity and promotional operations and exemplary distribution network scattered around more than 160 countries. Due to efficient and effective management RAK Ceramics have smooth and rapid growth in its last two decades.

First, the company has one of the best business strategies that acts as a competitive advantage over the others in the industry. With respect to this, it is clear that the competitive advantage here is noted from the low cost business strategies. The company high quality standard and price friendly hence a competitive advantage over the others.
Besides, RAK Ceramics is strategically located in the UAE and Dubai to be specific. The city is a hub for investors and other diversified issues that count towards the success of the industry. This is one of the reasons that count to the success of the company when it comes to competitive advantage. The above two strategies have been used by the company for years hence considered as sustainable strategies that add up to competitive advantage of the company.

The company is known to have one of the best business level strategy in the world. It is able to make use of human resource as a business level strategy. The company is able to train its employees in a way that can allow it meet the needs as well as the interest of the customers. Today "RAK Ceramics' operations include a range of facilities the capacity to produce 227 000 square meters of tiles per day, and more than 8,500 units of sanitary ware. The company exports to United States, Europe, other countries in Asia and South America. But the main export market is Europe.
Learning Points
I have learnt a lot from the management as well as the operations of the firm. First, I have been able to understand that the success of an organization is dependent on the business strategies in uses.
Secondly, there is no better way in the industry success other than having a competitive advantage. The best business strategy is considering the success such as the low price strategy of the company when it comes to fares and fees.
Recommendations
I recommend that the company should ensure that it meets customer responsibility to its fullest and Social Corporate Responsibility. This will help to boost the customer base of the company as well as increase the reputation of the company towards the external and internal ceramic
