Taco Bell’s Response
To say that social media is a powerful communication tool would be an understatement. In today’s microwave society, social media is the heartbeat of the ever-turning world. In fact, a company that utilizes the social network platforms stands a greater chance of succeeding in the massive industries. Equally, even when an enormous corporation is under fire with false allegations, the social media family can aid in the freedom of the company. How can a company utilize such a mission one may ask? In this case, just ask the crisis management team of Taco Bell. The wittiness of the Taco Bell’s crisis management team hit first and hit hard. Although resourcing to the social media platform was bold and carried a great deal of risks, the crisis management team believed the hill was worth climbing and made an unorthodox move on those who possessed lawsuits against them. This unique approach was a massive endeavor for not only Taco Bell, but for other similar companies as well.

As a person can tell, when one company such as Taco Bell is in spotlight with undesirable lawsuits, other chain companies are hiding behind the scenes anxiously waiting on the outcome. Thus, companies such as McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, and Wendy’s vary slightly with goods; all of those chain companies have a similar corporation structure with equivalent consumers. Likewise, any one of these corporations could have been a target by social media and the consumer. Conversely, Taco Bell just happened to have the bullseye swing their way. Because of all the attention given to Taco Bell, the other similar corporations should have ramped up their crisis management teams for cases of comparable effects. Therefore, when atrocious situations arise, each company can move quickly and valiant in the direction needed to pounce on social media
