Tabloid Cover: The Things They Carried

The written task for The Things They Carried has the form of a tabloid cover. A big part of the book is O’brien repeatedly trying to explain to both the reader and himself that memories cannot always be trusted, but ultimately through storytelling he can save himself and possibly his memories. Therefore the tabloid paper itself will talk about methods soldiers often use to deal (like storytelling) when they come back from war, and include enticing details from an interview with the author.
The title of my tabloid is American Horror Story, which is relevant to the theme of the tabloid cover. The word story relates to how O’brien copes with his memories of war by storytelling, and to make the tabloid more realistic I added the date of the issue
