It has small population of 105 people. It is in the outback desert of Australia, a vast land of flat surface surrounding with some rock formations. Sandstone has a history of gold rush in 1885 and therefore has many abandoned gold mine and mineshafts. It is a very dry and dusty terrain with rust stained red dirt; it has low desert shrubbery and few trees with no river, lake or water source.

Tabletop located 30 km south of Sandstone, it has hundreds of old mineshafts that are hidden and could easily fall into. Some of the mineshafts are concealed with wooden logs, however many do not and are hidden away under layers of dirt.
There are many theories of the Kehlets’ disappearance, most made by media and people, yet none of them can be proved. Some believe that foul play was involved, with Graham Milne the most likely suspect. Others may think that Jennie have pushed her husband down the mineshaft and ran away because she has an affair or she have found gold and was blinded by greed. Then they split up to cover more ground, Raymond unfortunately come upon an abandoned mineshaft and fell into it. The fall causes him to die instantly. Jennie who hears his scream came rushing and sees him lying in the mineshaft, she then tried to walk back to the camp to call for help. However she became disorientated as she is not familiar with the territory and wandered the desert far away from the campsite and the search area. She then realises that she is lost with no way back, so decides to build shelter out of bushes to cover her from the sun and heat. As she did not carry many water containers and couldn’t find any water source or food source, she became dehydrated and stricken by hunger. Jennie eventually loses consciousness and passes out in her shelter. Jennie then dies from hunger, thirst and heat. As she is still in her shelter, the helicopters were not able to spot her from
