TNI versus Polri
TNI (Indonesian Army) and Polri (Indonesian police) are two institutions that responsible in national defense and security in Indonesia. But one more incident in Batam shows us that their psychology relationship becomes worse. This incident happened in Brimob Command Headquarters Kepulauan Riau, Tembesi, Batuaji, Batam on November 19th 2014. Before we talk about the best solution for them, we should know the reasons or backgrounds of conflict TNI versus Polri. Why do they need a new form?
The first reason of conflict between TNI and Polri is no cooperation and collaboration both of them. Cooperation is very important to make connection between two institutions which have almost similar purpose. Collaboration is also important

Name of the uniform is ‘Loreng-Loreng’ or ‘The Stripes”. Previously, the uniform had already existed in 1950 as uniform of Tokubetsu Keisatsutai or Pasukan Polisi Istimewa (Special Police) in Japan colonizing era. And the last time Polri used the uniform was in Seroja Operation, Timor Timur. After that, they do not use it anymore. And the re-using of this uniform nowadays makes conflict to TNI who was identic with Loreng-Loreng uniform. In fact, Loreng-Loreng uniform is also necessary to Brimob in order to camouflage in some national …show more content…
The authorizers cannot avoid their members into this national conflict. In fact, these institutions should keep, protect and lead their citizen to not doing conflict which can disturb national stabilization. The authorizers also failed to create peace in TNI and Polri family. In fact, in national independent movement they could cooperate and fight together in some wars against colonial. But nowadays, they seem like two contra institution which full of conflict. Some critics say that this conflict happened by the careless of their authorizers. Because of that, President Joko Widodo called General Moeldoko and General Police Sutarman as the commander of TNI and Polri.
