My top five rules that I created in this unit’s introduction that pertain to both classroom management and discipline are as follows:
1. I will follow all directions and/or instructions.
2. I will be respectful of myself, others around me, and any supplies or materials I am using.
3. I will address my teacher face-to-face when there is a problem.
4. I understand that I am responsible for cleaning up behind myself.
5. I will listen to any adult as they are talking and give them my full, undivided attention.
These are some of the rules I currently use at work on a day-to-day basis. I also reinforce them when the opportunity presents itself. Each one of these rules helps students to practice accountability and
