TBI Reflection Essay

Hi Cornelius,
Thanks for sharing! Great work! I think your post was precise, and flows very accurately so that my understanding of it was very good. Since May I have been battling massive TBI and with your visuals and clarification to this use of style, especially for me who is a novice in this section right now, I have learned a lot from this post. I find your format structure very easy to comprehend and this put together with precision. In reading the steps to create a style in the tutorial I was a bit confused, although when reading your steps and seeing the visuals at the top I can place one and one together and build my own style for use. When I step out of my comfort zone with this TBI issue, at times it gets a bit scary that I

This critical reflective account will discuss the development of me as a leader and manager within my health profession and my team, over the course of The Mary Seacole Programme. I have identified my leadership strengths and my personal development. This course has encouraged me to reflect upon my vision and style of management, and has allowed me to further identify areas that I will need to enhance into making me a more versatile leader. Part 1 Developing my leadership skills is important for me given the circumstances that as a first time leader whose job role previously didn’t involve having a team managed by myself, to a position now who manages or interact extensively with staff and patients daily, therefore during my time undertaking…

Portfolio reviewers: My pre-ECU 2201 experience was my English 1100 course. While taking this class online, I learned how to make an interesting essay. Though this class didn 't require much research, it taught me how to write an interesting essay. Most of the time the professor gave us the decision to write whatever we wanted to write on. There might been some times where he wanted us to write a specific topic, but still had the chance to write whatever we wanted within the topic.…

This semester has flown by; however, English 101 has shaped my writing in so many ways. Initially, I did not recognize the ways which rhetoric, technology, research, and collaboration have affected my writing. As I review my work from this semester, it is quite noticeable that my writing has improved a lot since English IV honors. Rhetoric Of all the things I have learned in English 101, rhetoric has continued to be something I use.…

Reflecting on your previous writing can bring to light how your writing skills have improved and grown into your current writing. Previously, I had been exposed to a lot of writing and reading in my AP English Language and Composition and AP English Literature classes in high school. The writing skills that I had learned in both classes dealt with analysis papers pertaining to a specific prompt or style. I also had been exposed to lots of literature, specifically short novels and poetry that I had to interpret. My high school AP English classes prepped me for the college level writing class at High Point University.…

Beginning with the introduction, it sets a clear platform for the rest of the blog. I was able to know straight away which space would be discussed in your critical incident; I liked how you talked about Spiteri's canteen and how it would assist you in supporting/ questioning your own work. You introduced autoethnography with the introduction of the blog which I felt worked well, by doing this it allowed for the description of autoethnography to follow nicely. I felt that the introduction to the autoethnographic writing fitted perfectly, it was well balanced and critical with had very interesting points for and against the use of authethnographic writing. I like how you've included different theorists for autoethnography such as Maydell and Victoria, and how you have discussed how they…

Throughout this semester, I have genuinely learned a lot. AP College English is definitely a difficult course for me, but I have strived to make efforts in changing that. It’s difficult to pinpoint all the things that I have learned during the course. I have learned many things about novels, authors, grammar, writing, reading, and the list goes on. Every year in English I have learned something new and this year is absolutely no different.…

When it comes to Composition 1, I learned a lot. In the beginning I wanted to learn how to become a better and creative writer. I also wanted to learn how to come up with topics and write about them easier. One last very important thing that I wanted to learn was how to prepare myself for college next year. After finishing Composition 1, I can say that I did accomplish all of those goals.…

Everyone hates English class is what I thought before taking English 102. However, that may have been the case before I entered Dr. Byrd’s domain, but after finishing the class I have come to the realization that English class can be greatly resourceful. English 102 this year has had its ups and downs, and I must admit the ups outweigh the downs. Meaning, this year, I have learned that I am not a student who wants to read or write, but through reading and writing my mind and skill sets concerning English have grown. During English 102 this year, reading and writing in class helped me expand my writing skills, improved my will to comprehend, and most importantly helped expand my knowledge.…

The definitive diagnosis is through an acid fast stain of the bacteria in a lab, obtained through multiple sputum cultures and a chest x-ray showing abnormalities of the lungs. There is antibiotic treatment for tuberculosis but the bacteria is very drug resistant due to the stiff structure of the cell wall and as a result, the antibiotic course is long and sometimes dangerous due to serious side effects. The most common antibiotics used to treat TB are isoniazid and rifampicin for a minimum of six months. There are drug-resistant strains of TB known as MDR-TB and in these cases, several drugs are used at once to give treatment a better chance at success. Those who have latent TB are treated right away with one antibiotic to prevent the disease from becoming active at some point in time.…
