As a freshman, getting the chance to participate in this program is a wonderful thing. BLAST would help me to start thinking about college, what I want to do, and my major. This program would be a great opportunity to be able to experience the college life and explore a college campus. Also, it allows me to try new activities and learn new skills. It will give me a chance to see what life after high school is like, firsthand.…
Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with me yesterday. I really enjoyed our conversation and learning some more about Jefferies. It was also great learning more about the Generalist Program, which I believe helps associates to find a group where they will fit the best, without having to decide upfront where they want to be.…
The NASA Antares Rocket exploded out of the air, after it was clearly safe to launch. 5,000 pounds of supplies and more than 200 million dollars were wasted. Heading to the space station on the rocket were several experiments given by the Chinese, Russians, Americans, and Australians. They were supposed to be tested in space to examine their effects in space however, after the explosion, the experiments need to be returned back to each country accordingly. The Chinese will get LB (mineral oil), MD (aluminum), WC (oak), and PA (corn starch); the Russian people shall receive LC ( isopropyl alcohol), MC (brass), WA (poplar), and PC (salt); the people of the U.S. will receive LE (corn syrup), MF (lead), WB (balsa), and PF (sucrose); the Australian…

I think of myself a good candidate to partake in this program as I’m in all honors classes for my school plus my four magnet classes, and my one Ap class of World history. With all these classes I’ve accomplished staying in my school top grade of Principal List for 90 above all classes per marking period. While also being a student-athlete, I’ll swim 2 and a half hour a day after school. Regardless of the homework given or test I’d find the time to accomplish it all, and get the grade to prove it. These are all things I want to do, things I've wanted always get my 100 % effort.…
My years in high school were quite thrilling and adventurous. Starting as a freshman, I had no idea where I was going and what was going to be expected of me. Over the years I became involved with extracurricular activities which led to my primary interest I had developed in technology and the sciences. As a freshman I joined the Students with Future Interests in Technology Club, Spanish Club, and Robotics Club. These clubs stayed with me till I graduated high school and I have loved them ever since I got involved in them.…
I want to attend the AIM program to understand what the United States Coast Guard Academy is, what they do and how they do things. I want to get the chance to experience what the Cadets at the Academy do every day and the challenges they face to become officers in the Coast Guard. I want to know and understand what it takes to get accepted in the United States Coast Guard Academy. My expectations for the one-week program are to experience military discipline, to be pushed hard, mentally and physically and to get the opportunity to ask questions.…

There are many reasons I'm applying for AP at St. Edmund Campion. Here are some of them. First, I would like to apply for AP because I can use AP as a tool to enhance my learning even more. By this I mean, I can improve my learning with the help of the AP teachers and the AP students.…

I believe that I should be chosen to attend SUMMET because I am passionate about engineering and technology. I first fell in love with technology and engineering when I was 14. After my robotics team fell apart, I was invited to participate in a robotic team of five members in a rural community forty-five miles from my home. I struggled to find people who shared my passion at a school with 100 high school students. In this new team, I found my future, but I also found struggles.…
Creating something out of nothing is the greatest feeling ever. and Carpentry brings just that because you are literally making an amazing creation out of nothing. A topic I find really engaging is carpentry because you are making the world a better place. With carpentry you can do many things such as build houses for the homeless or make a career out of it. Without carpentry we literally would not have houses to live in.…
It was such a new and exciting chapter in my life when I finally decided to committ to Lock Haven, but the novelty of starting college slowly started to wear off when it dawned on me that the transition was going to be bittersweet. I was extremely nervous for move in day to come because I knew settling in and being away from home could either go bad or very smooth. Luckily, I was fourtunate to be apart of the SSS Summer Bridge program because my transition as a new incoming freshman could not have gone any better. The program has taught me the ins and outs of being a successful student at Lock Haven.…
Throughout the course, I learned different aspects of project management, and skills that can be used in the everyday life as long as involve interacting with other people. In this class I learned about how to be a better team member. This semester I was reminded of how important communication is and how people need to keep emphasizing it as one of the most important skills any person could possesses. The personality test was useful, I think it gave all of us a good way to start to see how everyone is different. It made it easier for each of us to better understand one another in how our unique personalities can be a challenge when working with others.…
The onset of my passion about learning science and technology in education, an intensive interest which has now evolved into an aspiration and a pursuit in the field, happened after joining the POMI (Programmable Open Mobile Internet) research team in the School of Education at Stanford University. Working as an active team member at site visit for POMI 2020 at Stanford University, developing numerous mobile applications on Androids, researching better approach to teach students in informal and formal learning environment, and performing the workshop, my inquires such as what is learning and how to help students understand better increased. I hope to bring my passions about researching the solutions for above questions and mission to help…
