GPS can provide direction, up to date traffic information that helps police to arrive the scene of a crime or emergency as soon as possible. In addition, GPS could help police officers to track criminal’s car. Nowadays, if criminals try to escape by their car, it is only a matter of time before police find criminals. Since media have developed dramatically in these days, there are symbiotic and asymmetric relationship between the media and the police. Media could share an information including serious crime through Newspaper, radio or social media, then people could notice about the crime and help the police. For example, in Canada, Amber Alert is a well-known system that the police and the media work together. I think that this system is very essential to fine a missing child. Media broadcasts a child information in very detail, then people could pay attention to that information which may help police to fine the child if people see that child or looks like similar child. Similarly, the police could provide information to the media about a criminal such as he’s appearance, what crime did he committed or where did he commits the crime, so that people can be aware of the criminal. This could be very helpful because community involvement is enhanced.
