Definition
SLE was a complex autoimmune illness which progresses in genetically exposed personalities underneath the effect of multiple environmental influences. It was a prototypical autoimmune disorder with variable clinical symptoms (seizures,psychosis, rash, photosensitivity, oral ulcers, arthritis, pleuritis, pericarditis, kidney complications & blood cell abnormalities) (Justiz-Vaillant et al., 2015).
Epidemiology
Prevalence rate in lupus was estimated to be as higher as 51 per 100 000 people in the USA. Incidence of lupus had nearly tripled in the last 40 years, mainly due to improving in diagnosis of mild disease. Estimated incidence rate in North America, South America & Europe ranged from 2 to 8
