Systemic Lupus Erythematosus or SLE is a complex systemic autoimmune disease characterized by the loss of tolerance to nuclear antigen, immune complex formation and innflammation in multiple organs ( Hagberg and Ronnblom, 2015). This disease is a very confusing disease. Through my research I have found many different things can happen to you once you are found with systemic lupus erythematosus or lupus for short. This disease is very interresting and hard to describe at the same time. You will have many different symptoms and can have an extreme amout of problems to almost no problems at all. I found many symptoms which include things such as fever, weight loss, malaise, fatigue, rashes, and polyarthalgia, and joint inflammation ( Williams and Wilkins, 2008). Weight loss can go as extreme as becoming anorexic and joint inflammation can get as bad as believing you have rhumatiod arthritis. This can be a very painful disease that you feel both inside and out. This disease is autoimmune which means it will eventually attack all systems of your body. This will start with your kidneys considering it will cause renal failure and slowly hit all systems until it gets to your heart. Symptoms of lupus may get as bad as vasculitis, necrotic legg ulcers, and digital gangrene if left untreated (Williams and Wilkins, 2008). I could not find that this disease was curable in any way however, it can be treated. You treat a disease such as Lupus with many many medications. Considerations on living a healthier less painful lifestyle is to eat a balanced diet, get plenty of rest, use heating packs for joint inflammation, take your medications regularly, and stay hydrated ( Willaims and Wilkins, 2008). The faster you can get medications for this disease will lessen your chance of getting as far as things like renal failure. Once your doctor thinks you may have systemetic lupus erythematosus he or she will begin a series of tests to figure out if this is really the case. There are a series of tests you will have to go through bewfore the doctor is fornsure. Depending on your type of insurance weather it is good or bad this could take some time. This will also depend on your daily schedule, weather you can go to the doctor frequently or not. Tests from the doctor may include urine studies, blood studies, chest x-rays, electrocardiogram, and kidney biopsy ( Willaims and Wilkins,
