Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: A Tricky Disease
Imagine standing on stage in front of thousands of people and all of a sudden, something feels funny in your body and you collapse. This happened to Grammy-awarding winning singer, Toni Braxton. Performing on stage in Las Vegas in 2008, Toni Braxton collapsed on stage with what doctors thought was a minor heart attack (Ellise, 2014). Unfortunately, Toni Braxton was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). This research paper will give an explanation of what Systemic Lupus Erythematosus is, and how it affects Toni Braxton’s everyday life.
