The Government has estimated immediate short-term cost of resettlement will cost the U.S. around $16,000 per refugee for a 4 year period. Another major shortage is Job opportunities. Employment in America has been already sparse for Americans without allowing additional refugees in. Lebanon is facing a huge crisis that America could one day face if we allow more and more Syrians. Lebanese helped the Syrians by taking them into their homes, communities and educational systems, but it is now causing a negative impact. Many Lebanese are losing jobs because the Syrians are willing to work for less pay, and losing their home because they cannot afford to pay their rent from this. Even the Lebanon children are losing their education from the over abundance of refugees. Some of the schools are providing half a day for Lebanese and the other half for Syrians. All this has also started tension between the races. Lebanese are claiming that they feel like they are in a Syrian environment.
