Though we should give them credit for the insane amount of refugees pouring into the country it has also been a political nightmare beyond belief, and that is usually the reason for the majority of the relief efforts in the past 50 years being failures in many eyes. An article by Vice has the same vibe as what they described as “Images flashing across screens” and how even though refugees are relatively safe from the original threat new threats have arisen. In Rwanda and Burundi it was due to the tutsi run military attacking the camps and food shortages, while in today’s Syrian refugee crisis its weather that is playing a huge factor on the wellbeing of the displaced.
